Sealed sources are radioactive sources enclosed in a sealed capsule or bonded onto a protective cover. The sealed capsules must comply with the international standards to contain and prevent the leak of the radionuclide under extreme mechanical, temperature and pressure conditions . Most often, sealed radioactive sources are contained in radiation devices, which are used in a variety of applications such as medical, industrial, academic and agriculture .
