Mitral valve (MV) pathologies of high prevalence, such as ischemic and functional mitral regurgitation, are secondary to the alteration of left ventricle geometry. The latter can lead to abnormal hemodynamics and induce annular dilation and papillary muscles (PMs) dislocation, thus modifying the physiologic balance of forces within the MV [1].
