Rupture of atherosclerotic plaque is a major cause of mortality. Plaque stress analysis, based on patient-specific multi-sequence in vivo magnetic resonance images (MRI), can provide critical information for the understanding of plaque rupture and could eventually lead to plaque rupture prediction .
