Based on the concept of coupling element, a whole transfer matrix method (WTMM) is developed for the eigensolutions of multi-rotor systems. To improve the calculating precision, the Riccati transformation is applied to whole transfer matrix method. Compared with substructure transfer matrix method, the whole transfer matrix method is more suitable to be used in practice because the structure does not need to be separated into substructures at linked point, unknown internal forces and displacements are not involved in, and the equilibrium equations and deformation compatibility equations do not need to be constructed. Some numerical examples are presented at the end of this paper.
