Abstract
This paper presents a new approach to improving the triangulation of surfaces near intersection curves, i. e. “trim” regions. The main idea is based on constructing narrow polygons around trimming curves. The algorithm consists of: (1) Description of trimmed surface, (2) Reconstruction of intersection curve of surfaces, (3) Adaptive subdivision of the surface, (4) Construction of the narrow polygon zone, (5) Triangulation of the narrow polygon zone, (6) Reconstruction of topological relations.
