A procedure is presented for calculating the distribution of concentrated flux in paraboloidal solar collectors and is applied to idealized and practical cases. This procedure is based on the firmly established concepts of the flux integral and radiant intensity but is implemented by simple geometrical constructions involving infinitesimal pyramids based on the reflecting surface. This procedure yields a formulation well suited for numerical evaluation.
